Inaugural Supply Chain Conference a Success for EFC

CEW EFC supply chain 400

Dec 12, 2019

With the new year ahead and the ever-changing demands of the industry, EFC’s inaugural Supply Chain Conference couldn’t have come at a better time. It was a chance for the early adopters, influencers, and industry leaders to join forces on best practices that will forge our ‘power-ized’ industry into the future.

Cultivated by EFC’s Supply Chain Committee, the first two-day working conference for the Electrical industry centred around reaching a consensus on a ‘Shorter, Faster, Smarter’ supply chain. Experts on IDW, VMI and EDI brought an opportunity to create dialogue among our channel members to build on the importance of digitizing the processes and trusting our industry partners.

Day one, began in the afternoon with an ECOMM 101 session to the digital platforms available and opening keynote speaker Rajiv Sujan from PwC brought granular insight to the needs and benefits of a digitized supply chain.

Day two, started off strong with a workshop on the various table topics:
Computerized Warehousing, Point of Sale Information, Ship and Debit, Role of AI in Supply Chain, Transforming to Digital Staff, Data Transfer, M2M, API, and Future Transportation.
Members were engaged and provided insightful feedback that will be thoroughly reviewed by the committee.

The speakers of the day were made up by our own industry experts: Rick Pozniak, Rexel; Tom Hoar, TrueCommerce Datalliance; Paul Molitor, Idea CONNECTOR; Swati Patel, EFC; and Ross Elliot, TrueCommerce Datalliance. There were two dynamic panelist discussions from the manufacturing and distribution channels.
