Festo Canada is announcing the launch of an authorized distributor agreement with one of Western Canada’s largest privately owned electrical distributors, Gescan, a Sonepar company.

Gescan has 29 branch locations spanning British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, and will sell and support the complete Festo product portfolio.

“As a full stocking distributor,” said Chris Hemming, National Channel Manager for Festo Canada, “Gescan will offer value-add assemblies of Festo air preparation units and valve manifolds, in addition to, all components from the full range of products — from pneumatic consumables to fully assembled interpolated gantry systems.”

“This partnership brings together Gescan’s commitment to delivering innovative solutions with Festo’s industry-leading pneumatic and automation products,” said Javi Richmond, President of Gescan.

“Together, we look forward to providing our customers with enhanced access to cutting-edge automation solutions, exceptional service and technical expertise. We are confident this collaboration will bring significant value to our customers and further strengthen Gescan’s position as a trusted partner in the industrial automation space.”

Gescan joins Electrozad and Aztec – two distributors serving Ontario – as the third Sonepar company to partner with Festo in Canada.

Sonepar’s global investments in automation and digitalization of their customers’ experience fits well with Festo’s extensive e-commerce capabilities and global growth objectives.
