Southwire Canada Announces Sales Appointments

Southwire Canada has promoted Karim Parbatani to Director, Retail Sales, and hired Sundeep Bumbra as Director, Distribution Sales. 

Karim (left in photo) has been employed by Southwire Canada for more than three years, where he has held roles of increasing responsibility, most recently as Product Manager, Tools & Assembled Products. In his new role, he will be responsible for sales development in the retail channel across Canada.

Karim holds a Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University in India and a Masters of Mechanical Engineering from McGill University. Before joining Southwire, Karim spent two years at Globe Electric as a Product Development Manager. 


With his extensive product knowledge, leadership skills and experience in the retail channel, Karim will be in a position to help Canadian retailers grow their business by leveraging Southwire’s expanding contractor equipment and consumer electrical product offerings. 


Southwire Canada also welcomes Sundeep Bumbra as Director, Distribution Sales. Sundeep will be responsible for sales growth in the wholesale distribution channel across Canada.


Sundeep is a graduate of both St. Clair College and the University of Windsor, and holds a P.Eng designation. He is well known in the wire and cable industry and comes to Southwire after several years with Anixter, where he advanced to the role of Product Manager, Industrial Products. This experience, along with his engineering background gives him a broad knowledge of product applications and a deep understanding of end-customer needs.
