Luis Leal Appointed as New Vice Chair to Greener Electrified Canada – E-Transportation Committee

Electro Federation Canada is pleased to announce Luis Leal, Phoenix Contact, is the new Vice-Chair of the Greener Electrified Canada – E-Transportation Committee.

Luis Leal is the business development manager for the E-Mobility department at Phoenix Contact LTD in Canada.  Phoenix Contact is a global market provider based in Germany focusing on the fields of energy, infrastructure, process, and factory automation, as well as solutions for charging electric vehicles.

Since joining Phoenix Contact in 2018, Luis has been involved in multiple projects across Canada addressing challenges in the infrastructure and electric vehicle industry.

Prior to joining Phoenix Contact, Luis worked as the railway specialist and field sales engineer at Stäubli Electrical Connectors, where he worked with rolling stock OEMs in North America and addressed challenges in the electrification of heavy vehicles in mining and agricultural applications. Luis holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Public Relations from McGill University.
