Clifford Reginald Jones Passes Away at 83, After More Than 40 Incredible Years in the Electrical Industry

On January 27, 2025, Clifford Reginald Jones has passed away surrounded by his loving family after a long and courageous fight with cancer and dementia.

During his life, Clifford worked in the electrical industry in Alberta and Ontario for more than 40 years, (Carson Electric, Federal Pioneer, Ruddy Electric, Guillevin International and Gerrie Electric) making many lifelong friends along the way. He considered himself fortunate to travel Canada from coast to coast with work and then to share his discoveries during family vacations.

Cliff is survived by his wife Sharon (nee McFarland) of Lindsay, son Corey (Alexandra) of Toronto, and daughter Jodi Kerr-Taylor (David) of Newmarket.

To all who knew Cliff, his greatest joy, even more than golfing, was his grandchildren of whom he was so incredibly proud. Cliff will be lovingly remembered by Shane, Matthew, Bradley, Paige and Madison Kerr-Taylor of Newmarket and Cole and Max Jones of Toronto. He will also be remembered by the most recent additions to his family- Sara, Parker and Jack Calder of Brantford and Matthew Denley (Rebecca) of Toronto. Cliff will be greatly missed by his brother Dave Jones of Calgary, Alberta, sister Cherry Olhauser of Didsbury, Alberta along with brother-in-law Jack Phelps (Karen) of Spruce Grove, Alberta as well as his nieces and nephews.

Clifford is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years Lynne (nee Phelps) d. 2011. and parents (William) Reginald Jones and Edna Jones (nee Viner) sister Marlene Nelson and Brother William Jones of Calgary, Alberta.

Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Cliff’s wishes, a private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would kindly ask you to consider a donation to Dying with Dignity, a cause that means an incredible amount to the family.
