Allied Moulded Products Endorses NEMRA POS Standards

February 29, 2024

Allied Moulded Products has endorsed the NEMRA POS / POT Minimum Recommended Standards as a further commitment to its independent manufacturer representatives.

Allied Moulded Products, Inc., established in 1958, is a provider of fiberglass reinforced and polycarbonate, nonmetallic electrical boxes, and enclosures, for use in residential and industrial applications globally. Leveraging more than 65 years of experience, Allied Moulded has grown to become a benchmark of quality within the electrical industry.

The company goes to market in the US and Canada through independent manufacturer representatives who support their residential non-metallic box offering and industrial non-metallic enclosures.

Jeff Parker, VP Sales and Marketing, commented, “Allied Moulded Products has embraced the NEMRA Point of Sale (POS) Initiative, aiming to augment precision via the implementation of automated and uniform reporting procedures. This initiative is designed to curtail inaccuracies and inconsistencies in the computation of commissions. The establishment of this standard fosters greater transparency by delineating clear protocols and benchmarks for our trusted distributors, manufacturers, and sales representatives.

“This facilitates enhanced operational efficiency by refining the reporting mechanism, thereby economizing on both time and administrative expenses. An additional advantage of adhering to these standards is the procurement of strategic insights. The data garnered through this systematic approach yields profound implications for the formulation of sales and marketing strategies, offering a significant boon to the involved entities.”

Jim Johnson, President of NEMRA, commented “On behalf of Allied Moulded’s NEMRA representatives, we appreciate their endorsement and commitment to the standards and to ensuring their reps are appropriately compensated for their efforts. As distributors invest in central / regional distribution systems and the distribution industry consolidates, POS reporting becomes more important. The NEMRA POS minimum standards ensure key information is shared in a consistent format with manufacturers by distributors so that they can quickly process and allocate commissions to their reps.

“The POS standards help distributors streamline their POS reporting process so they can use one format for over 50 manufacturers, making it easier to share information with their key suppliers … without being concerned about sharing customer-specific information. Sharing the place where the customer purchased the material is critical to ensuring that the appropriate manufacturer sales representative receives credit for supporting a distributor.”
