CSA Group is proud to have been recognized as a finalist for the Venngo Award of Excellence for Financial, Physical & Mental Wellness, a 2021 Canadian HR Award. The Venngo Award recognizes organizations that excel in delivering comprehensive employee wellbeing programs, while showing clear evidence of a positive impact on workforce.

As a global organization dedicated to safety, social good and sustainability CSA Group is focused on the wellbeing of its employees globally, ensuring that its health and wellness programs are market-competitive and adaptable. From robust group benefits, pensions and savings plans, a market competitive mental wellness program, a global fitness and health subsidy and strategic education and employee communications, CSA Group has crafted a robust employee offering that addresses the evolving needs, expectations and challenges facing employees around the world.

CSA Group’s market competitive mental health wellness program has been a key strategic priority for the organization. Following an in-depth review of CSA Group’s mental health coverage in 2019 and a commitment to implement the Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace standard (CAN/CSA-Z1003-13), CSA Group has implemented various mental wellness initiatives including:

  • Initiation of ‘Project Care’, an initiative focused on elevating the organization’s mental wellbeing strategy
  • Increase of mental health practitioner benefit coverage to an annual maximum of $5,000 per participant (i.e. per eligible family member) and an expanded list of covered mental health practitioners
  • Introduction of company-paid online cognitive behavioral therapy, included promotion of Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and enhancement of employee well-being platform
  • Mental health training for CSA Group people managers and employees

“Supporting and nurturing the financial, physical and mental wellness of our more than 2,000 CSA Group employees has never been more important,” Melodie Mason, Vice President, Total Rewards, CSA Group. “We are so honoured to have been recognized alongside a group of esteemed and likeminded finalists, who are paving the way and leading by example.
