Standard to Consolidate Distribution Centres

Standard

February 24, 2018

Effective June 1, 2018, Standard will consolidate warehouse operations in its two distribution centres located in Vancouver and Montreal.

The change will ease challenges in managing production and inventories, which have arisen as Standard transforms from a lamp/ballast business to an LED fixture and lamp business.

The Vancouver distribution centre will service Saskatchewan to British Columbia, while the Montreal distribution centre will service from Manitoba to Newfoundland. Inventory availability and fill rates will improve dramatically, while delivery lead times will be maintained for the vast majority of our customers, the company says.

Standard will be maintaining its Ontario sales operation, which comprises inside sales, quotations, and outside sales. This team will be moving into a new facility in Mississauga that will also host Standard’s largest interactive showroom to date, providing hands-on experience and training for our customers in this market.
