Not Your Typical Industry Association

EFC Group

Jim Taggart

We need to stop operating Electro-Federation Canada (EFC) as a traditional industry association; we need to start thinking of ourselves as a consultant offering professional services to our members. The real purpose of EFC is two-fold:

• To help give members an edge, so that they can sell more product

• To keep members informed of changing regulations and legislation, so that they will stay out of trouble

Members are no longer renewing their memberships just because they always have supported the industry association. They now want to see real value for their membership dues dollars.

This is why EFC has enhanced and is expanding service in the following areas:

• workforce development — helping members attract and retain new, young talent

• industry research and surveys

• industry statistics and forecasting

Stay tuned for some exciting new EFC initiatives and industry data!
