AD Member Sales Up 4% to $16.7 billion in 2015 Q2

AD, the US$31 billion contractor and industrial products wholesale buying / marketing group, reported sales for all AD members across all seven divisions, including Canada, grew by 4% in Q22015 to $16.7 billion.

“AD members and our supplier partners continue to work together to take share and win in the market place,” says Bill Weisberg, AD’s Chairman & CEO. “Our industry executives and member-led divisional boards are working hard to provide growth opportunities for our members through innovative new initiatives such as e-commerce, HR professional services, as well as conversions, marketing and incentive programs. We are also actively recruiting growth-oriented distributors and best-in-class suppliers to join the organization. This quarter we announced the merger with Canaplus, which marks expansion into the Canadian Plumbing & Heating industries. New markets, new geographies and core member growth are three pillars to our strategic growth plans.”

By division, AD Member second quarter sales grew as follows: 

• Canadian electrical 11%
• U.S. electrical 5%a
• Industrial 1%
• Plumbing 5%a
• PVF 3%
• HVAC 7%
• building materials up 11% (year over year)
