2019 EFC Conference: Speakers’ Spotlight

EFC

Apr 29, 2019

Taking place May 28-30 in Quebec City, the event and its speakers address a multitude of industry shifts under the theme, “Powering a Changing World.”

“The theme speaks to our industry’s need to service the new world we live in, as technology in today’s world is quickly evolving,” says Jean-Sebastien Bercier, Chair, National Advisory Council and Conference. “Our industry feels the effects of change on two fronts. First, the rapid change in the types of technology we sell, and secondly, the rapid change in the way we sell our technology.”

Speakers for the conference’s business program, May 29-30, were carefully selected for their ability to share insights and outlooks. Here’s a quick look at who’s speaking:

    • Leonard Brody will inspire you to take on unique opportunities for a growth mindset

    • Alan Beaulieu will provide insight on leading economic indicators and industry cycles

    • EFC’s new industry whitepaper will explore electrification supply and demand trends and how this will transform how we work, live… and move

    • a panel of Young Professionals Network (YPN) members will cast light on what technological, cultural and structural changes this industry must address to attract and retain top talent

    • an interactive workshop will be held to spearhead our channel’s movement towards digitization and supply chain excellence.

    • Denise Keating will address the “Amazon Effect” and discuss why disruptors are targeting traditional channels — and how our industry can address this change.

    • Sébastien Sasseville will close  the program with an inspirational talk about how change is a culture, not an action. He will share how his personal journey has helped him address change management, teamwork and leadership
