Employees of the wire and cable manufacturer who recently won first prize in a North American company talent show are donating their $1,000 prize to the Mississauga Food Bank in Mississauga, ON. Southwire Canada President Axel Schlumberger has also matched the donation.

“We are extremely proud of our talented employees and their generosity in donating their winnings to benefit the local community,” says Schlumberger. The Southwire Canada corporate office and national distribution centre are located in Mississauga.

The Mississauga Food Bank provides 2.8 million meals each year, with 51% of the meals going to children under the age of 18.
