As you may know, ABB has been involved with Young Musicians of the World for the past few years within the framework of the Desgagnés Kayak Challenge. This year they raised over $15,000 in addition to ABB’s $20,000 investment. Eric Deschenes, Country Managing Director and Head of Electrification Business, Canada, released the below statement on the event via LinkedIn:

“This year, I have the great pleasure of acting as honorary president of the 6th edition of the event which takes place as of today until September 6.

The Desgagnés Kayak Challenge is a major fund-raising activity that consists of a four-day descent on the St. Lawrence River between Montreal and Quebec City by sea kayak. More than a sporting event, it’s an exceptional human experience focused on self-improvement, team spirit, healthy lifestyles, and solidarity.

I am truly proud of our ABB colleagues who have decided to take up the four-day challenge and have helped raise a total of $15,450 in addition to ABB’s $20,000 donation.”
