Highlights from Gerrie Electric’s “Salebration” Tradeshows

Gerrie

November 9, 2017

This year, as Canada celebrated 150 years of Confederation, Gerrie Electric celebrated 60 years of helping customers be more successful. To honour the milestone, Gerrie held two “Salebration” tradeshows with show specials, training industry experts, prizes and networking with local Ontario colleges. Plus, attendees earned Gerrie Bucks on show purchases to redeem for merchandise such as televisions, electronics, gift cards, sporting goods, and more.

The first event was held on September 20 at Bingemans in Kitchener, Ontario, followed an employee event on Gerrie’s anniversary date, September 30. A second successful Salebration was held on October 4. In addition to the Gerrie Bucks prize redemptions, two customers at each show won an ultimate exotics car experience with LEDVANCE and Gerrie. A lucky customer at each event also won a $10,000 Merit Travel trip voucher.

Gerrie’s fundraising initiatives at each milestone event brought them closer to their goal of raising $60,000 for Diabetes Canada and Alzheimer’s Society, in their 60th anniversary year.

What a great way to celebrate the legacy of one of Canada’s largest family-owned, independent electrical, automation and lighting distributors in Canada. Gerrie Electric is also a certified WBE and proud to be one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies. Ken Gerrie, Heather and Elaine, and the third Gerrie generation — Jonathan, Joanna and Taylor — are thrilled to welcome in this milestone with their hardworking staff, their manufacturer vendor partners and their tremendously-valued customers.
