Guillevin International Acquires Dubo Electrique

Guillevin International, has announced the acquisition of Dubo Électrique Ltd., one of the largest distributors of electrical, lighting, automation and control products in Québec.

Founded in 1955, Dubo has built its reputation on the quality of its customer service, supported by a team of more than 120 consulting experts. With its seven operating branches located in Montreal, Laval, Saint-Hubert, Sainte-Adèle, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Trois-Rivières and Quebec, as well as its 100,000 square foot distribution center, Dubo Électrique now occupies a strong position in the maintenance and repair market (MRO) with government and institutional agencies, and large companies.

“This new acquisition significantly consolidates our position of strength in the Québec market with a broader clientele,” said Luc Rodier, Guillevin’s President and CEO. “Indeed, it will allow us to offer greater geographic coverage and more opportunities for our strategic partners in this market. I am thankful to Sylvie Boileau, Dubo’s President, for the confidence she has placed in us and for her help in the company’s transition.”

Note that the company will continue to operate under the Dubo name and all jobs will be maintained under the new ownership.
