Greg Walker Named CABA CEO

The Continental Automated Buildings Association begins a new chapter with the appointment of Greg Walker as CEO, succeeding Ron Zimmer. Greg has been with CABA for almost 8 years working closely with the Board of Directors and leading the CABA research program and general operations. 

Mr. Walker is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) with over 15 years of experience working with associations, government agencies, universities, not-for-profit and Fortune 500 organizations. He holds a B.A. and B.Sc. from the University of Windsor and an M.Sc. from Dalhousie University.

In addition to working closely with the Board to fulfill the organization’s vision of advancing the connected home and intelligent buildings sectors, Greg is actively involved with several industry committees/councils including the Intelligent Buildings Council (IBC) and the Connected Home Council (CHC). Just last week saw the launch of “The Connected Home and AI” research project at the CHC, while CABA’s IBC research, focusing on “Predictive Maintenance and AI,” is in production and will be delivered to the funders later this fall.

Greg has been a guest speaker at several North American and international industry conferences over the years. He will be speaking at the 2022 AHR Expo and he is attending LightFair in New York this week — running October 25–29, 2021.
