EFC Supporting IT & Telecom Committee Members

EFC

The IT & Telecom Committee of Consumer Electronic Marketers of Canada Association (CEMC), a division of Electro-Federation Canada, has changed its name to the Communication Solutions Manufacturers Association (CSMA).  Still part of CEMC, this move provides increased visibility and focus on services and programs for CSMA members. “We have an opportunity to revitalize and grow CSMA and we will concentrate on those key initiatives that are important for CSMA members,” says Viet Nguyen, CMSA Chair and Director, Regulatory and Government Relations at Ericsson Canada Inc. CSMA members represent a wide-range of products including products for audio, television, blu-ray/DVD players, telephone, camcorders and mobile (car) electronics.

Susan Winter, VP Consumer Electronic Marketers Council (CEMC), will continue to provide leadership as EFC lead on CMSA. CSMA includes these companies: Alcatel Lucent, Aviat Networks, Cisco, Ericsson, Kenwood, Lenbrook, Motorola Solutions.

“This strategic change in structure will enable us to improve service for these members through our involvement with Radio Advisory Board of Canada (RABC), government relations and lobbying, issues management (chemical management plan, recycling and sustainability), energy efficiency and policies on science, technology and innovation,” says Winter.
