This week, Niagara Falls, Ontario set the stage for an extraordinary event: EFC’s Annual Industry Conference – Electrifying Connections.

This year’s conference was a particularly special celebration, marking EFC’s 30th Anniversary. More than 700 members—including industry leaders, past board chairs, and association partners—came together to honour and reflect on three decades of innovation and collaboration.

Honouring Excellence in the Industry

As part of the conference, EFC proudly recognized outstanding individuals and organizations whose leadership and contributions are shaping the future of Canada’s industry. Congratulations go out to this year’s Industry Awards Honourees: 

Corporate Engagement Award Recipients:

  • Manufacturers’ Rep: Sales Outsource Solutions
  • Distributor: Rexel Canada
  • Manufacturer: Leviton Canada

CEMRA Person of the Year:

  • Steve Wheeler, Munden Enterprises

Industry Recognition Award:

  • Bob Branscombe, Independent Electric Supply 

Welcoming New Leadership

This year’s Annual General Meeting, held during the conference plenary, marked an important leadership transition for EFC. Heartfelt thanks were extended to Umesh PatelMattr, who concluded his term as Chair of the Board of Directors. EFC is grateful for his exceptional leadership and dedication this past year.

EFC was also pleased to welcome Luc RodierGuillevin, as the incoming Chair for the 2025–2026 term. Luc brings a strong vision for continued growth and collaboration within the industry.

Leadership changes were also announced within the National Advisory Council (NAC). EFC gave sincerest appreciation to Kim Quelch, Dainolite, for her impactful leadership over the past year, and also welcomed Greg Gare, Electrozad, as the new NAC Chair. EFC looks forward to the Council’s continued progress under his guidance.
