Vallen Canada Announces Acquisition of BrenKir Industrial Supply

Vallen Canada

October 13, 2017

Vallen Canada (A Sonepar Company) has now acquired BrenKir Industrial Supply to further advance its ability to serve its customers.

BrenKir began as a small operation in Marystown, Newfoundland in 1985. Since its humble beginnings BrenKir has grown to provide safety, industrial and fire equipment to the province’s many expanding projects.

In nearly 30 years of business, BrenKir has been a supplier to large-scale construction projects, fire departments, corporations and municipal and provincial government departments.
Guy Mersereau, President of Vallen, reflects that “In July of 2011, we created a strategic alliance with a local company- BrenKir Industrial to work together to serve this vital market.
I can tell you that we will be inheriting folks that fit our culture, and our commitment to customer service like a glove- and we both sell lots of those. They bring also tremendous insight with deep roots in the local market that combined with Vallen’s scope and scale will allow us to grow much stronger than either of us could accomplish on our own.”

This acquisition will marry the local market understanding and connections of Brenkir with the national scope and scale (and global reach) of Vallen.

With branches across the country and headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta Canada, Vallen Canada is one of the most experienced and innovative industrial goods and service suppliers in the country.
