Southwire Announces New Business Development Team

October 23, 2025

Southwire recently announced the formation of a dedicated Business Development team to meet the needs of the exponential growth of critical vertical markets that continue to drive significant increases in power demand.

Recognizing this shift, Southwire is positioning itself to proactively address evolving market needs by developing standardized solution designs tailored to support key customer needs. This team will focus on identifying growth opportunities, deepening customer relationships and delivering tailored solutions that support long-term success in these critical sectors.

The new team will be led by Nedra Hurley, Senior Vice President of Business Development, and will report directly to Rohan Kelkar, Executive Vice President, Utility and Industrial Group. This new team will collaborate closely with the strategic verticals sales teams to ensure alignment and maximize impact.

“With this new team, we can develop standardized solution designs tailored to support key areas and meet end-user capacity agreements to keep up with the ever-changing demands of these industry verticals,” said Kelkar.

Hurley recently concluded over two decades of service at ABB, where she held a range of roles from Proposal Engineer to Vice President of Utility Sales, East Region, within the Electrification Business.

An alumnus of Ohio University and Cleveland State University, Hurley currently lives in Kernersville, North Carolina, and also spends time on her family farm in Ohio.

“I am truly inspired by the vision and culture at Southwire – especially during this pivotal time in the energy transition, where innovation and collaboration are shaping the future of our industry. That alignment of values and purpose makes this opportunity all the more meaningful,” said Hurley.

Hurley officially begins her new position with Southwire on Monday, November 3.
