Wiring Better Futures: The IDEAL National Championship Looks to the Future in its Eighth Year

Wiring Better Futures: IDEAL Canada is celebrating 60 years of manufacturing in Canada and to celebrate they are giving back. 

IDEAL Electrical announces the eighth season of its highly charged competition, the IDEAL National Championship. This year, under the theme of “Wiring Better Futures,” the competition is open only to electrical apprentices and will continue its footprint in the United States and Canada.

The Canadian event series, Battle of the Schools, will run starting March 20th. Over $25,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded to Canadian trade schools and apprentices throughout the Battle of the Schools season.

This year, Canada is divided into six regions.  At the end of the season, the fastest student in each of the six Canadian regionswins a $1,000 scholarship and a custom Muskoka chair. Their school will also receive $2,500 worth of IDEAL tools and supplies.  The overall fastest Canadian student and overall fastest IBEW apprentice will each get an additional $1,000 scholarship.
