Hydro Ottawa Launches EV Charging Station Pilot Project

Registration has opened for a Hydro Ottawa electric vehicle charging station pilot program that will provide successful applicants with a FLO Home X5 Level 2 charger at a reduced cost.

The program is open to Hydro Ottawa residential customers are eligible to participate, but participation is limited.

The FLO Home X5 Level 2 charger has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $1,295, but will be provided to successful participants at a cost of $777. The cost of installation will vary depending on what work is required at the customer’s home, and can range from $600 to $1,500.

The cost of the equipment and installation will be consolidated and applied directly to the monthly electricity bill participants receive from Hydro Ottawa.
