Enable’s Maureen “Mo” Barsema Honored with Supply & Demand Chain Executive Annual Women in Supply Chain Award

September 30, 2022

Enable, the collaborative rebate management platform, announced today that Supply & Demand Chain Executive, the only publication covering the entire global supply chain, selected its Industry Principal, Maureen “Mo” Barsema, as a recipient of the 2022 Women in Supply Chain award.

The Women in Supply Chain award honors female supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company’s supply chain network. This year’s list includes individuals from software and service providers, consultancies and academia, trucking and transportation firms, professional development agencies, sourcing and procurement divisions, and more, all who have helped supply chain clients and the supply chain community at large prepare to meet many of today’s—and tomorrow’s—challenges. The winner will be announced at the Women in Supply Chain Forum on November 9, 2022.

As Industry Principal at Enable, Barsema collaborates with customers and prospects to identify pricing and rebate management challenges and to prescribe solution and process improvements, with a specific focus on the electrical industry.

“On behalf of myself and everyone at Enable, we are incredibly proud of Mo for winning this prestigious award,” said Andrew Butt, Co-founder & CEO of Enable. “I can’t think of anyone better for it to go to. Mo has deep knowledge on the strategic use of rebates from her time as a CFO in electrical distribution, and she brings this to Enable and to our customers every day. This is a well-deserved and fantastic recognition of Mo’s significant contributions to improving collaboration in the supply chain.”

Barsema has decades of extensive experience spanning across distribution operations, finance management, trading processes, and the electrical industry. Prior to Enable, Barsema was at SupraNet Communications (an ISP), where she was the VP of Finance, overseeing the outcome and the financial performance of the company, and previously was the founder of Outside Looking In (“OLI”), an electrical industry consultant. Prior to OLI, Barsema was co-owner of BJ Electric Supply, serving as Vice President & CFO for 35 years. She served as chair of the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED), one of only three female chairs in the 100+ years of the association’s existence.

“I am truly honored to be a recipient of the 2022 Women in Supply Chain award,” said Mo Barsema, Industry Principal at Enable. “For over 40 years, I have been fortunate enough to have a very successful, long-term career in the supply chain and have met many amazing people along the way who have been integral to my journey. I hope to pave the way for future female supply chain leaders.”
