EFC Ontario Region Appoints New Chair and Vice-Chair; Thanks Past Chair

April 4, 2022

EFC Ontario Region is pleased to congratulate John Hadley, Intralec Electrical Products Ltd., for his new position as Chair. John is the Vice President of Construction Sales and an owner of Intralec Electrical Products. He started in the electrical industry in 1997 with EGS Canada, where he held numerous positions including Product Specialist, Product Manager and Sales Manager. He then joined Intralec Electrical Products in 2003 as the Southwest Ontario regional sales representative. He later looked after the KW and GTA territories before becoming Western Ontario Sales Manager in 2014. He now presides as Vice President over contractor and project sales initiatives at Intralec.

David Keegan, Hubbell Canada, has been appointed Vice-Chair for the Ontario region. David is the Central Region Sales Manager at Hubbell Canada. He joined in 1996 as a Sales Rep in the GTA and apart from a year in Ireland in 2005, has spent his career moving through several different positions including Commercial Specification Specialist, National Specification Manager and Datacom Manager.

John and David will work closely with Nathalie Lajoie, Ontario Region Team Lead, along with the Ontario Region Committee over the next two years in their respective roles. Congratulations to John and David for their new executive roles. EFC looks forward to their combined leadership at the Ontario Region level.

EFC would also like to thank Mike Smith, Liteline Corporation, for his two-year term as the Ontario Region Chair.

During his term as Chair, Mike developed the Ontario Region terms of reference document to foster transparency, along with defining executive committee roles and succession planning. One of Mike’s key accomplishments was to create a balance of educational programs and industry related tours, matched with valuable networking opportunities for Ontario members. Mike also hosted the highest record of attendance for the Ontario Region Gala in 2020 and helped to modify the Ontario Region Golf Tournament with record attendance as well as leading the Ontario Region golf foursome team to win the Ontario Cup Challenge vs YPN Team Ontario in a friendly match last August.

Mike’s Charity of Choice for his Chairman’s gift is the Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada, in memory of a dear friend.

EFC, and the Ontario Region, thank Mike for his outstanding contributions, dedication, and leadership to the Ontario Region. Mike will act as Past Chair until February 2024.
