Sonepar is excited to celebrate 40 years of success and growth in Canada! In 1984, Sonepar acquired Lumen, its first operating company outside of Europe. Forty years later, Sonepar in Canada has evolved into a key leader in the Canadian electrical industry, comprised of nine operating companies and over 90 locations across eight provinces.

“In Canada, Sonepar has grown substantially since 1984. Not only is Lumen the largest distributor in Quebec, with world-class CDC automation, but all our Canadian businesses are regional leaders with distinct industry strengths and strong community contributions,” – George McClean, Sonepar Canada President
