Ideal In-Sure Lever Wire Connectors Receive Top Product Award

Ideal In-Sure Lever Wire Connectors Receive Top Product Award

February 2, 2017

Ideal Industries has received a top product award for its In-Sure lever wire connectors.

Launched in 2015, the In-Sure lever wire connectors provide speed and ease of installation. In addition, the connectors can accept fine stranded conductors without having to solder or crimp a ferrule to the end of each wire.

Electricians often work on light fittings that require solid and flexible conductors to be joined together. Traditional connector strips may allow the wires to work loose, which can result in arcing and a melted terminal block.

The connectors, which are available in 2, 3 and 5 port models, help overcome this issue. They provide a tool-free alternative to traditional connector strips for joining solid, stranded or flexible conductors and enable electrical contractors to make connections quickly and safely without having to use a screwdriver. With the combination of Push-In and lever clamp technology, the design securely retains both rigid and flexible conductors, while allowing the connectors to be easily removed if required.

Owing to its innovative design, the In-Sure Lever wire connectors proved to be one of the products that drew the most interest from readers of the U.K.’s Professional Electrician and Installer magazine in 2016, and as a result Ideal was given the top product award in January 2017.

Electrical connectors have been at the heart of Ideal’s business for more than seven decades. Constant innovation in new connection technologies has positioned Ideal as one of the world’s leading manufacturers, providing safe, dependable solutions for a broad range of low voltage wiring applications.
