Discover 3 Generous Government Rebates With the Purchase of a Charging Station

Did you know that you can benefit from Government of Quebec rebates when you purchase an electric vehicle or charging stations, in addition to many other advantages? In fact, there are several financial incentives available as part of the Roulez vert program.

Rebates for charging stations at work – Employees and vehicle fleets

If you are a business owner and wish to install charging stations for your employees, you may be eligible for financial assistance.

The financial assistance granted for the purchase and installation of charging stations in the workplace is equal to 50% of eligible expenses up to a maximum of $5,000 per station. The maximum amount of financial assistance allocated per site is set at $25,000 per fiscal year.

Rebates for fast charging stations at work – Employees and vehicle fleets

Financial assistance for the purchase and installation of fast charging stations for employees and vehicle fleets is determined according to the power output of the eligible charging station.

Power output from 20 to 49.9 kW: 50% of your eligible expenses, for a maximum amount of $15,000.

Power output of 50 kW or more: 50% of your eligible expenses, for a maximum amount of $60,000.

Rebates for multi-unit building charging station – Building owners and managers

The financial assistance granted for the acquisition and installation of charging stations for multi-unit residential buildings will be the lesser of the following amounts: 50% of eligible expenses* OR $5,000 per wireless charging station. Up to $25,000 if there are 20 units or more.

*What are the eligible expenses?

  1. The cost of acquiring the stations
  2. The cost of labour and materials required for the installation of the charging stations and its power supply infrastructure
