“I’m excited to be a part of a company that focuses on the development of its people and that has a strong corporate culture,” says Vergara.

Born in Colombia, Vergara received his degree in Electrical Engineering from La Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota. Upon graduating he began his career working as a project engineer for Proctek, ABB then Invensys (later acquired by Schneider Electric). Vergara has lived in Canada for the past three years and is fluent in French, English and Spanish. An avid learner, he is currently working on his fourth language, Russian.

Vergara plans to take his project-based experience and apply it to engineering support and sales for Wago.

“I look forward to learning about new technologies and developing a new set of skills in order to meet the expectations of the market,” says Vergara. “I hope to be able to use my experience to help in the growth and development of my region and become one of the best technical resources in Canada.”
