Recall: Litetronics HR16 50 W/120 V Halogen Lightbulbs

Recall of Litetronics HR16 50 W/120 V Halogen Lightbulbs

June 24, 2016

Shanghai Haifeng Electric Lighting Co. has recalled the Litetronics HR16 MR16 EXN/A Halogen, sold from April 2015 to April 2016 under the catalogue/model number L-3750.

Almost 10,000 units were sold in Canada. The products do not meet Canadian standards.

The centre contacts in the bulb can soften and break, or fall off over time, which represents a potential shock or fire hazard due to poor electrical contact.

Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the halogen light bulbs and discard the product according to local municipal waste guidelines.

Anyone with a safety concern about a CSA Group certified product is urged to send the details to crush.counterfeiting@csagroup.org.
