The Industry Data Exchange Association (IDEA) has held a significant role in eBusiness Standards, working with key players such as ETIM, GS1, and EFC to carry out Standards initiatives. IDEA will continue to participate in these established Standards communities, bringing expert volunteer distributors and manufacturers together with IDEA staff in order to refine their data model and specifications for their products. With the growth of their services and the launch of the new IDEA Connector approaching, IDEA is focusing their efforts on the IDEA Connector User Group in order to primarily govern their products and guide their data model.

“Our changing role will allow us to be more responsive to the industry, focus on all Standards and reflect them in the data model.” said Paul Molitor, President & CEO of IDEA.

IDEA repositioning allows standards to be more responsive and faster moving, shaping participation for the future.
