Graybar Canada Appoints Cory Morris as New Vice President, Atlantic Region

Graybar Canada announced the appointment of Cory Morris as the new Vice President, Atlantic Region, effective April 6, 2020. This appointment follows the recent assignment of Jason Taylor to Executive Vice President and General Manager.

Cory began his career with Graybar Canada in 2008 as a Marketing Assistant during a university coop placement. Throughout his 12-year career in the industry, Cory held many positions including the completion of Graybar Canada’s Manager in Development program in 2015. The three-year program gave Cory the opportunity to experience all levels of the company—from warehouse and counter sales, to finance and branch management. Cory then moved to the automation group where he became a Services and Solutions Specialist before being appointed to Automation Manager, Atlantic, in 2018.

“Cory’s demonstrated leadership abilities, strategic mindset, and customer focused drive will help guide our business in Atlantic Canada in the coming years,” said Executive Vice President and General Manager, Jason Taylor.

In his 12 years with Graybar Canada, Cory has proven to be a leader in the organization and looks forward to giving back what he’s learned along the way. Last year, Cory was recognized as a rising star in the industry by tED Magazine, and was a recipient of their 30 Under 35 Award.

“I look forward to supporting and amplifying the excellent initiatives we’ve embarked upon, including our digital transformation strategy, our solution-focused sales approach and our aim to be the distributor of the future,” said Cory about is new role. “My priorities are our people, our customers, our partners and the sustainability of our industry. I feel very fortunate to work in a role where I can affect positive change and influence growth within an incredible company and industry that I’m passionate about.”
