John Baron, President of Elec-Tech, Is Retiring

John has had a long and illuminating Electrical industry career spanning over 37 years.

The journey started after graduating from U. of Manitoba and joining Sylvania Lighting in a Sales and Marketing role in Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta.

John’s career path opportunities moved him to British Columbia where he soon joined Elec-Tech Sales in 1986.  John managed Sales and Marketing initiatives throughout his outside sales role and territory coverage, eventually becoming President in 1997.

John always brought a positive energy, commitment and enthusiasm with his Partnership Group and played an important part of the long term direction, success and development of our excellent team of sales professionals.  It is from this strong leadership we proudly move forward with confidence to carry on the reputation and tradition of excellence for our business partners.

In addition, John contributed his time and leadership skills with many industry associations including Past Board of Director roles; IESNA, B.C. Section, Past-Chair with CEMRA and two times Chair of the BCEA.  John has also been an active part for many Manufacturer Representative (Rep Councils) with the Manufacturers Represented.

John always brought his “A” game with passion, dedication and with significant contributions for the advancement of our industry and mutual business success.  We thank John for the exceptional years spent with Elec-Tech Sales and the Electrical industry.

On behalf of our organization please join us in wishing John and his family, his wife Shelley and daughters Lexie and Stephanie, the very best of good times, good health, happiness and the same success in retirement as enjoyed through his Electrical industry journey.
