EFC Q2 Business Confidence Survey Results

Official Representatives were invited to participate in EFC’s Q2 Business Confidence Survey to reflect confidence levels within the Canadian electrical market, as well as questions surrounding supply and demand.

Q2 Survey Results

A total of 85 key contacts from membership responded, 40 from our manufacturer community, 25 CEMRA, and 20 Distributors. Seventy-six per cent of respondents expect growth in 2023 compared to 2022, while 20% are predicting sales to be down, and 4% are expecting no change. In the second quarter, only 21% of respondents feel supply chain issues are affecting their ability to service customers, a significant improvement from the previous quarter at 38%. Demand has slowed slightly, with 33% experiencing weakened demand, compared to 29% in Q1.
