Cree Lighting, a division of IDEAL Industries, has endorsed the NEMRA POS / POT Minimum Recommended Standards as part of its commitment to its independent manufacturer representatives and lighting agents.

Cree Lighting, known for its quality, US made, indoor and outdoor lighting products, prides itself on being responsive to its distributors as well as its agency network.

Said Chris Brown, Cree Lighting’s Vice President of Distribution, “One of our goals at Cree Lighting is to become easier to do business with for our distributors. Endorsing the NEMRA Point of Sale Minimum Reporting Standards makes sense as it eases the process for our distributors while providing us with the essential information to compensate our manufacturer representatives.” Rob Zimmerman, Cree Lighting’s Vice President of Commercial & Industrial Sales further commented “It is extremely important to us that our local manufacturer rep is appropriately compensated for supporting their local distributor. This is a relationship business. We value these relationships and are committed to ensuring our independent manufacturer representative agencies and lighting agents are appropriately compensated for developing business and their local support.”

Jim Johnson, President of NEMRA, commented “On behalf of Cree Lighting’s NEMRA representatives, we appreciate their endorsement and commitment to the standards and to seeing that their reps are properly compensated for their sales efforts at endorsing distributors.  The NEMRA POS minimum standards helps ensure a level of information consistency that is important for manufacturers, can streamline processes for manufacturer and distributors and can ensure appropriate compensation is shared with the appropriate rep.”
