BJ Electric Announces Retirement of Kevin Gutsch, VP of Operations, After 43 Great Years of Service

November 25, 2022

BJ Electric Supplies have recently announced the retirement of a member of its executive team, Kevin Gutsch, Vice-President of Operations, which will occur on or before November 30th, 2022.

A Brief History: Kevin Gutsch

Kevin Gutsch began his career with BJ Electric Supplies on November 20, 1979. His first position was picking orders as a warehouse worker. After enthusiastically taking on whatever work was assigned him over the years, Kevin was promoted to the position of Purchaser on May 1, 1991, where he continued to excel and increase his relationships with customers and vendors. Kevin distinguished himself in building these relationships such that promotions to General Manager in 2008 and then to Vice-President Operations in 2014 were “a foregone conclusion”, in the words of our owner.

“Kevin has been a valuable member not only of BJ Electric Supplies’ business but of the BJE family too. He’s always planned many social activities including Christmas parties, baseball, and football outings, and also BJE’s trade shows, customer events and appreciation days. It is the fact that Kevin felt part of the BJE family that makes it personally very difficult to say goodbye to working with him, but the time to move into the retirement chapter of his life has certainly been well earned.” – Mike Thompson, CEO of BJ Electric
