AD energyFORCE Summit

July 26, 2017

AD hosted its annual energyFORCE Summit. The Summit was held at the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor Hotel in Boston, MA and accommodated electrical members and supplier partners who have a focus in the energy market.

Ted Simpson VP of Marketing at AD stated, “The Summit creates a forum where electrical members and supplier partners can work together to grow their mutual business in the energy segment.”

The meeting started off with an open discussion where panel members, Kevin Smith (French Gerleman), Randy Moberg (Werner Electric of MN), Tom Bisson (General Cable), and Chris Stockton (Hubbell Lighting), discussed best practices, including how they seek opportunities and relationships, followed by guest speaker, Leedert Jan Enthoven, from BriteSwitch LLC who discussed strategies to capitalize on available rebate incentives.

Following the panel were several Learning Tracks for member attendees on key aspects of energy projects presented by subject matter experts. Don Harrington, Executive Vice President at Horizon Solutions LLC and energyFORCE Committee Member stated, “While learning tracks are key to the agenda of the Summit, for Horizon, the telling value of the conference is the ability to deeply connect with members and suppliers who share our vested interest in the specific energy-related aspects of our markets. For Horizon, energyFORCE provides a “force” multiplier to help take our energy strategy to the next level.”

The Summit also featured time for suppliers to display and educate their new products to members during the one-on-one tabletop sessions.

“It was great to spend time with other “like distributors” and discuss current market conditions. Werner Electric Supply had great meetings during our one-on-one tabletop sessions that we feel will result in positive change for continued growth,” expressed Ben LeRoy, Product Manager for Werner Electric Supply Co. and AD energyFORCE Committee Member.

The AD Electrical Premier Marketing Partners were also acknowledged throughout the event. The attending Premier Partners included: Acuity Brands, Inc., BURNDY, General Cable, Hubbell Lighting, Inc., Leviton, Philips, Siemens, Southwire, Thomas & Betts, and Wattstopper/Legrand.

The AD energyFORCE Summit is a first-class opportunity for members and suppliers to come together to build strong partnerships and win business in the energy market.
