Southwire Gets Second Innovation Award

Southwire Simpak

Southwire Canada has won the Electro-Federation Canada Innovation Award at this year’s  Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic and Technology (MEET) trade show.

Southwire won the award for  Innovation Award from Electro-Federation Canada (EFC) for their SIMpull CoilPAK Payoff. “The SIMpull CoilPAK Payoff eliminates the need for heavy, cumbersome spools,” the company explained. “Instead NoLube SIMpull T90 circuit sized wire is contained in a sturdy, yet lightweight package. The molded handle makes it easy to carry allowing for increased versatility on the job site. When pulling wire from the package, it can lay flat or be stacked directly on the floor for a completely tangle-free pull.”

“We’re honoured that leaders in our industry have recognized this innovation and presented us with this prestigious award,” said Ryan Gencarelli, marketing coordinator for Southwire Canada.

This is the second time Southwire has won the EFC Innovation Award. They first received the honour in 2012 for the Max Punch Pro.
