NAW Institute for Distribution Excellence Publishes Research Study on Digital Investments

October 16, 2016

The NAW Institute for Distribution Excellence’s new research study, Getting Results From Your Digital Investments, helps distributors build a digital vision for their companies and take action to execute it.

The document provides advice for helping distributors make investments, mobilize people and, ultimately, get results from their digital investments.

Author Mark Dancer helps distributors explore marketplace changes and shares ideas about using digital tools to meet those changes. He also offers tools that each distributor can use to adjust its business model and capabilities, and launch an action plan to move the company in the right direction.

Much of the advice in this study is gathered from distributors, but because distributors don’t yet have all the answers, Dancer also offers advice from outside the industry. No one book can provide all insights necessary to help with every aspect of adopting and using digital tools, so he stays true to the research and helps distributors build a digital vision, strengthen their capabilities, take action on their vision, and continually learn as they go along. In addition to providing discussion questions for a distribution team to consider at the end of each chapter, he provides downloadable resources in the form of online surveys and workshop facilitation tools that wholesale distribution leaders can use with their teams.

The National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW) is a federation of wholesale distribution associations and thousands of individual firms that collectively total more than 30,000 companies.
