The National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED) announced last week the launch of the Electrical Products Education Course (EPEC) French Silver course.

“NAED appreciates the tremendous opportunity to work with Electro-Federation Canada in order to increase the reach of our education programs,” said Michelle McNamara, NAED Education & Research Foundation Executive Director. “The translation of the EPEC Bronze and Silver courses into French is our first step of bridging the language barrier.”

This version, developed in partnership with Electro-Federation Canada (EFC), follows the English version and includes all of the same modules and prints. French speaking associates will now have access to the same industry leading EPEC Bronze and Silver training and instruction from bilingual reviewers.

“Electro-Federation would like to thank our Quebec Region and all our active sponsors for their determination to see this through,” said EFC’s Electrical Council Vice President Rick McCarten. “The French version will be used in Quebec to educate our industry’s front line for the next 30 years.”

Originally developed in 1986, EPEC has become the cornerstone of sales and product training in the electrical distribution industry. EPEC students may participate in three tiered levels of professional recognition: Bronze, Silver and Gold. These courses provide information about individual products, their applications, and how they are interrelated with other products in electrical systems. All levels are available as a self-study workbook or online through the NAED Learning Center. The French Bronze and Silver levels are available as self-study workbooks.
