EFC Scholarship Program: Deadline Is Just Days Away

EFC Scholarship Program — Over $150,000 in Scholarship Funding

May 15, 2017

Electro-Federation Canada (EFC) and its members demonstrate the importance of financially supporting and introducing Canadian university and college students to the Canadian electrical industry. This year over $150,000 will be awarded across 57 scholarships supported by manufacturers, distributors and associations.

Many scholarships also provide an opportunity for students to engage with EFC member companies offering employment and career opportunities. The electrical and electronics industries have great jobs, competitive salaries and benefits, plus aggressive careers paths in a sector with cutting-edge innovation. Students are shown the electrical industry as a viable career choice in engineering, sales, marketing, finance, management, operations, information technology, and human resources.

“The EFC Scholarship Program engages bright young talent in our industry and positions the Canadian electrical industry as a viable career choice,” says Joris Myny, Chair 2017 EFC Scholarship Program and Senior Vice President, Digital Factory and Process Industries & Drives Divisions, Siemens Canada. “It also provides an opportunity for students to interact with EFC members and learn about innovation in our industry.”

“The program is a success as companies are employing previous scholarship recipients and EFC is involving the Young Professionals Network to promote and connect with these students,” says John Jefkins, Vice President, Marketing & Communications, EFC.

The EFC Scholarship Program delivers a wide-range of offerings from manufacturers, distributors and associations. Students are encouraged to explore all scholarship opportunities and apply at scholarship.electrofed.com. Scholarship applications now open! Students can apply at scholarship.electrofed.com.
