E.B Horsman & Son Remember Former President and CEO

Thomas Muldoon

November 30, 2017

E.B. Horsman & Son regrettably announces the passing of Thomas (Tom) Muldoon, past President & CEO of E.B. Horsman & Son, on November 3rd, 2017. Tom suffered a prolonged fight with lymphoma and will be missed more than words can express. He was just a President but a good friend.

For those that did not have the opportunity to know Tom, he was a feisty Irish Canadian who cared passionately for everyone at E.B. Horsman & Son, within the electrical industry and the Horsman family. His caring nature, dignified presence and empowering approach to business helped everyone he worked with be just a little bit better every day.

Tom was appointed as President of E.B. Horsman & Son (EBH) in 1994 by George Horsman before becoming the company’s only non-family partner in its 100+ year history. Tom played an instrumental role in defining our culture of excellence and modernizing EBH for a globally competitive environment.

“To me, and many others at EBH, he was so much more than the President of our company; he was a true mentor and friend,” said Tim Horsman, President & CEO of E.B. Horsman & Son. “We were blessed to have had him take care of the company for many years and help us set the foundation upon which we grow today.”

Bill Weisberg, AD CEO commented, “All of us at AD mourn the passing of Tom Muldoon. He was a real gentleman and an effective leader within AD and the AD independent distributor community. Tom’s insights, values and relationships were instrumental in helping us build strong supplier relationships and grow AD Canada into the organization that it is today. All of us who follow in his footsteps owe him a great debt of gratitude.”
