By Guillaume Hayet, Vice President, Electrical, HVAC and Auto parts markets, Deschênes Group

We are pleased to announce the appointments of Mark Rogers to the position of General Manager of Daltco Electric & Supply Ltd, Michael Brown to the position of Projects, Vendor and Marketing Manager and Andrew Thompson to the position of Sales Manager.

Mark will assume overall responsibility for the Daltco business and, together with the management team, be responsible for developing the plans and strategies of the company’s growth. Mark will report to Howie Pruden, Vice President and General Manager of Ideal Supply. Daltco has a very strong and long-standing reputation for quality and service within the Eastern Ontario marketplace, and will continue to operate as its own entity as it does now, under the leadership of Mark and his team. Going forward, Daltco and Ideal Supply will benefit from each other’s electrical expertise and will help each other strengthen their business in their respective geographic regions.

Mark joined Daltco in 1984, working part-time at the Brockville branch while completing his electrical engineering technology diploma. He then held the positions of Outside Sales representative, Branch Manager and, most recently, Senior Director of Sales and Marketing. Mark has an extensive product background in electrical, lighting and automation, and has been a critical driver of Daltco’s growth over the past 30 years. He has earned the respect of the broad Daltco team, along with customers and suppliers, which will prove invaluable as he moves forward in his new role.

Michael Brown is promoted to the position of Projects, Vendor and Marketing Manager. Michael received his diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology in 1993 and joined Daltco in 1997, where he successively held the positions of Automation Sales specialist and Branch Manager in Ottawa. Since 2021, he has jointly held the roles of Branch Manager of Kingston branch and Project Department Manager for the Daltco business. His in-depth understanding of electrical systems and strong technical expertise will ensure his success in this new role.

Andrew Thompson is promoted to the position of Sales Manager. Andrew graduated as Electronics Engineering Technician and joined Daltco in 2000. He worked his way up in the positions of Warehouse Associate, Inside Sales, Outside sales representative and, most recently, Branch Manager in Kanata. His wide expertise within the electrical industry and strong focus on providing exceptional customer service will be key assets in his new role.

These nominations will all become effective February 5th, 2024. Please join in extending our best wishes to Mark, Andrew and Michael as they begin their new role. We are confident that through Mark’s leadership and collaboration with the entire Team at Daltco, the continued success of the company will be assured.
