AD Member Sales Grow 7% to US$10.2 Billion in Q1 2019

AD, the contractor and industrial products wholesale buying / marketing group, reported a 7% increase in member sales, across 12 AD divisions, totaling US$10.2 billion. Purchases from AD suppliers grew by 8% in Q1.

By country, same store sales in Canada grew 3%. The U.S. was up 5%; and Mexico 5%.On a same store basis, by business unit, Q1 electrical sales were up 3%, PHCP sales were up 5%, Industrial/PT sales were up 4%; and Building Materials was up 5%.

“Coming off record-breaking back to back years we are pleased with the growth we achieved in Q1,” says AD Chairman and CEO Bill Weisberg.

The Canadian operations began over 20 years ago and today represent over 20% of total volume. AD continues to grow through successful mergers and an ever-expanding network of independent distributors and best-in-class supplier partners.
