Northern Cable Commits $25,000 to Canadian Aid for Chernobyl

Big hearts over at Northern Cable, a Brockville, ON.-based company. Not only do they take part in Power2Feed, the Canadian electrical industry’s fundraising campaign to feed hungry children, but they have recently committed $5,000 per year for the next five years to annual Canadian Aid For Chernobyl (CAC) Gala Dinner and Auction. 

Northern Cable has been a premier sponsor of the organization, which helps children escape the radiated region in Chausy, for several years. 

This year’s Gala was held on July 30, saw 200 people attend, and raised over $100,000. Proceeds from the event are donated to: Children’s Relief from Radiation, Child Rescue Sponsorship to the Chausy Orphanage School, Children with Medical Needs and Disabilites, Humanitarian Support for the Benefit of Impoverished Children, and Orphanage Renovations. 

Northern Cable has a charity donation committee run by employees that decide where charitable funds are allocated.
