From a third consecutive win to a positive exchange between our President & Managing Director, Timothy King and Premier of Ontario Doug Ford, and even a bold fashion piece made from cable materials: La Soirée was a night to remember.
Hosted by the France Canada Chamber of Commerce (ON, MB) Toronto, the event brought together leaders across business, government, and diplomacy to celebrate collaboration between Canada and France under the theme “Building Bridges.” As a Grand Sponsor, Nexans took center stage, showcasing how our teams across Canada are driving electrification, innovation, and sustainability every day.
During a leadership panel, Tim King highlighted the essential role our teams play in powering the future:
“At the heart of Nexans is sustainable electrification, and we are leveraging AI as a key growth enabler. We are proud of our deep, long standing Canadian roots, manufacturing cables in towns like Trenton, Fergus and Weyburn.”
The event also showcased creativity and sustainability in action. A standout moment was a fashion piece by Indigenous designer Tisha Thompson and Karen Francis, created using cable and wire materials from our Fergus plant, bringing our commitment to circularity to life in an unexpected and inspiring way.
The evening concluded with a proud milestone: Nexans Canada receiving the Sustainability Award once again, for the third year in a row. This recognition reflects the collective efforts of our teams across the country who are driving innovation, reducing environmental impact, and delivering sustainable value to our customers and communities.
Congratulations to our team! This award belongs to all of you who make sustainable electrification a reality.
