“NAED appreciates the tremendous opportunity to work with Electro-Federation Canada in order to increase the reach of our education programs,” said Michelle McNamara, NAED Education & Research Foundation Executive Director. “The translation of the EPEC Bronze and Silver courses into French is our first step of bridging the language barrier.”   This version, developed in partnership with Electro-Federation Canada (EFC), follows the English version and includes all of the same modules and prints. French speaking associates will now have access to the same industry leading EPEC Bronze and Silver training and instruction from bilingual reviewers.

The U.S. National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for the Electrical Industry (NJATC) has received a US$1 million commitment from Greenlee to help train the next generation of union electrical workers.
Over the next five years, Greenlee’s support will help create state-of-the-art classrooms in NJATC training facilities across the U.S., including two new academies: Greenlee Safety Academy and Greenlee Safety and Productivity Enhancement Academy. The two academies will add online learning to the traditional mix of text and lab experience.

Rexel Canada Electrical Inc: Jeff Hall to Retire; Roger Little Appointed CEO

Rudy Provoost, chairman of the Management Board and CEO of Rexel, announced on January 20 that Rexel Canada Electrical Inc. CEO Jeff Hall will retire effective February 28, 2014.
Jeff joined the Canadian operations in 1992 as VP, Logistics and was promoted to VP of the Westburne banner in 2003. Jeff has been CEO of Rexel Canada since 2005. On his retirement, Jeff will be appointed Chairman of the Board of Rexel North America, the parent company of Rexel Canada Electrical Inc. He will remain a member of Rexel’s Executive Committee.
