Canadian Electrical Wholesaler

David GordonIn the words of an Amazon and MRO analyst, eCommerce is more than “click and ship.” eCommerce is about a methodology and a mindset to do business more electronically. In fact, the commerce element can be very diversified, especially for medium to large MRO buyers.

GDP by ProvinceIn 2018, real gross domestic product (GDP) increased in nine provinces and in all territories. Real GDP declined in Newfoundland and Labrador. Nationally, real GDP by industry rose 2.0%.

Whats At StakeAs a distributor, you face an ever-changing competitive landscape. If your organization uses time-consuming manual processes or relies on software that doesn’t fit your specific needs, you’ll struggle to compete and grow.

Carol MgGloganCanada has worked hard to open international market access via free trade agreements in North America, Asia and Europe. The elimination of tariffs between these regions enables companies to re-examine their structures and has resulted in a global supply network.

Jeff MowattWhat words do you think customers would use to describe what it’s like when doing business with your company — responsive, easy, approachable? Or are they more apt to say rigid, robotic, bureaucratic? Customers of course prefer to buy from suppliers who are easy to work with.

Higher sales were recorded in two of seven subsectors, led by the motor vehicle and motor vehicle parts and accessories subsector. Excluding this subsector, wholesale sales declined 1.5%. One of the biggest frustrations I hear from my clients is the amount of time and effort it takes for them to put together proposals, particularly those that don’t end up winning the business. Unfortunately, the standard approach to making client proposals usually involves describing your products or services, including some corporate background, adding a few references, and finishing with pricing information.

This is the last approach you want to take. It practically guarantees you’ll miss the mark. And worse, preparing and delivering these kinds of proposals soaks up significant time and resources that could be better spent elsewhere.
